Misty Ramirez
Misty Ramirez holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and completed graduate level coursework in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. As her studies deepened, she began to question the underlying assumptions shaping modern mental health, ultimately stepping outside the traditional path toward licensure to explore broader questions of human experience, mind, perception, and consciousness.
Her experience includes working with diverse populations, including adults with developmental disabilities, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals experiencing homelessness. She is committed to social justice advocacy, with a focus on addressing systemic inequities and advancing more equitable approaches to mental health and community care.
Her personal and academic development has been shaped by lived psi experiences in childhood, as well as a family history of similar phenomena, which later informed her participation in psi research as part of a broader inquiry into consciousness and anomalous experience.
Her early life included exposure to diverse cultural traditions and contemplative practices, including meditation and traditional witchcraft. She is currently deepening her study of philosophy and engaging with decolonial perspectives, while exploring connections to land based practices as part of her reconnection with her ancestry.
